Behind the Scenes - Savage Fae & Savage Kitteh

Have you ever wondered what goes on in LoveCats head? The story behind some of your favorite outfits? Now you can get a sneak peek into the world of LoveCats with this special blog exclusive interview about one of the latest LoveCats Neko Shop & Mall design; Savage Fae & Savage Kitteh!

What inspired you to create this latest design?

My new tabby kitty skins. While I was creating them I was thinking of feral kitties. I was working on another unrelated project that is more fae/fantasy inspired and the two ideas just came together for me. I couldn't help but make the fae version for fun.

How did you decide on a name for this current look?

I went for simplicity on this name, Savage Kitteh and Savage Fae... I love when I don't overthink it. Sometimes the names are so hard to come to lol

What was the hardest part of the outfit to design?

The boots for the fae... I had to really think about what would make sense, be different from the kitty version and still be cute and fun.

What was the easiest part of the outfit to deisgn?

The wings- once I started playing with the texturing they came together very easily for me. I love making wings. I love also having the flexibility to have done a kitty and fae version.

How did you choose the colors for your latest design?

The brown was the color I used to design the outfit. A woodsy brown leather was just a natural choice. I brought in black because I loved the idea of people being able to wear this outfit with the Midnight Tabby skin. Then green of course to further reflect nature and I felt I wanted something lighter and came up with the soft suede-y tan color to complete the set.

Where do you envision someone wearing this outfit? (ie, club, fashion show, date, etc)

Although it might seem odd, they kitty sets are purrrfect for a best in neko contest, since they aren't a style that is seen every day- they really stand out. I think any fun kitty activites are perfect for these outfits and the fae ones too would be excellent for a best in wings contest or exploring.

Anything else you'd like to mention about this outfit?

I had a ton of fun doing these. I really enjoy the unusual looks added into my sexy clothing lines. I plan to keep making a variety so that we can express our many moods..... I think that is the blessing of sl... it is such a tool for expression!

Any hints to your next amazing creation?

Hmmmm hints... think umm.. parade..... beads... ostentation... PARTY!

LoveCats Hunt - Dark Katz Hunt

Did you know that LoveCats is part of the Dark Katz Hunt? Well now you do! What is a hunt? A hunt is a great opportunity to get amazing items for free or at a low cost. All you need to do is search around the store to find the item in question. For this hunt it's a black neko head and it's hidden somewhere in the LoveCats main store. First, a bit more information on the hunt.

The hunt is inspired in Neko-grunge and Sweet-neko style and child avatars, furry avatars,demons,vampires and all the creatures of this wonderfull world are welcome to participate in the hunt. This hunt is for everyone in SL who would like to join in!

You will be hunting the sims for a Kat who is shown close to the ^V^DKH >>3<< ^V^ sign, that one don´t have the prize in it.
The Kat who has the prize in it is hidden inside the store who has the sign in the entrance.

The prize for finding the item is a love outfit designed by LoveCat Thei. You get two items, one for male and one for female. However, they are no transfer so if you want your lover/friend/sibling to match you then they need to do the hunt as well.

The female outfit is a very sexy number with a low cut belly blouse accented with a skull pattern. There is also a matching skull necklace to go with it for the men and ladies.

There are two pants options for both men and ladies; ripped jeans or chaps. Both are very sexy but the chaps come with a belt that has a skull buckle.

Of course we can't forget the guys. The guys, as I mentioned, have the jeans or chaps option as well as the skull necklace. The shirt for the men is a fishnet muscle shirt with a skull pattern right in the middle. Makes for a very sexy prop! 

As you can see the hunt is very worth doing, especially if love to match! LoveCats is full of great outfits for girls AND guys so make sure to spread the word about this hunt as well as all our great fashions. Drag all your friends like I did!

What inspired you to create this latest design?

I know we are always looking for something new and interesting to wear. I try to keep my designs fresh and come up with a new concept each time. I wanted to try to work with a poncho idea but manage to keep it sexy and a little edgy... I try to challenge myself with each new design.

How did you decide on a name for this current look?

Coming up with a name can be challenging. I was doing a little visualization.. where did I see myself wearing a design like this? I imagined a night time city scape- Metro clicked right away.

What was the hardest part of the outfit to design?

My original 'vision' was quite different from how the outfit came out. This often happens. The challenge is to go in the direction the outfit takes me to the best creative outcome.

What was the easiest part of the outfit to deisgn?

The poncho. It was a lot of fun to create so that made it easy

How did you choose the colors for your latest design?

Black was a must. I imagined other colors that would be dark, and a little dramatic. I decided to throw in white for a little added fun

Where do you envision someone wearing this outfit? (ie, club, fashion show, date, etc)

Running around the city with friends, getting into a little mischief

Anything else you'd like to mention about this outfit?

This outfit is a little different than some I have done in the past and it will be a versatile addition to your LoveCats Wardrobe. I love that many of my outfits can be mixed and matched with others to create really unique looks!

Any hints to your next amazing creation?

My new skins have inspired me to imagine feral kitties, something wild and tribal. I'll be working on some outfits toward that theme. I also have some men's items in the works and they will be coming out very shortly!

A Closer Look - Metro

With LoveCats latest release of Metro it's time to take a closer look at this sexy outfit. As usual LC has out down herself, taking the simple "poncho" look to a whole other level. This outfit is full of versatility. Wear it with or without the poncho to have drastically different looks. It can be used on a high fashion runway or even at a sexy club event. Of course if neko isn't your thing (shame!) you can easily wear it without any tails or ears. The real bonus is the color choice. Four deep, rich color choices for you which of course you can easily mix and match.

A girl's best friend, black. It's the go everywhere color and do anything with shade. Goes well with so many hair options and tail options. I went with LoveCats red tail/ear set and my favorite hair color, blond.

Or perhaps purple is more your thing? We have that too! I kept the red tail and ears on then switched to a brown hair for this look. Don't you just love the fingerless gloves?

If white is more your thing we have that too! Went black hair with the pink tails and ears. Love how pink goes with white and the black hair stands out with the white outfit.

And of course the deep, sexy red outfit. Valentine's Day is coming and red is passionate color. Wore a nice brown hair along with the tail and ears from Star light...Star bright in silver.

And that's about it guys! As you can see there are many ways to wear Metro, many colors to play with and many ways to neko-fy this look. This is a very go anywhere type of look so make the best of it. As usual it's on sale for $250L on its first day of release and goes back to the usual price of $500L after that. But don't fret because LoveCats has plenty of sales and we do events with giftcard prizes so you can always aim for any of your favorite looks.
