We focus our attention at a new kitty this time, a hard working model who has been with us for awhile. You've probably seen her in the shop and now here is your chance to get to know Megan Moonshadow a bit more. For her stellar performance in February and beyond, here is her time to shine!

 

How long have you been working for LoveCats?
Since September 2010. :)

What shift do you usually work?
Thursday 8pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-2pm & Sunday 11am-2pm. :)

Why do you enjoy working at LoveCats?
Well, I have so many reasons to <3 LoveCats. Neko is my thing on SL, so when I was looking for a job, this was my very 1st option. Lovecat Thei makes the best neko stuff in the whole SL. She really is a designe genious. So, when I came to the store for the 1st time, I feel in love with ALL the outfits & stuff (I want to get them all btw). And of course, coz LoveCats kitties are the best! Always happy, cool, funny, sweet & smexy. RAWR! :)

Do you have any other modeling experience?
No I don’t. LoveCats is my very 1st job at all in SL. But I had always <3 fashion & help people with their shopping, so I think that’s why I has been a fast learner in the modeling area. :)

Do you have any friends/family who also work at LoveCats?
All LoveCats Staff are friends & family to me! :)

What is the name of your favorite LC outfit and what draws you to it?
OMG! That’s a hard one! I have so many favs! But I gotta say that I <3 LoveCats BLACK outfits, like the smexys “Metro Black” & "Mystic", & the oldies but fabulous "Luna" & "Cherry Black". I also like the colorful ones like the awesome “Rainbow Kitteh” or the complete “Desire” Collection. What draws me to them? My passion for fashion! :)

What do you on SL when not at LoveCats?
I spend the most of my SL time at LoveCats, coz I don’t have so much time to spend on SL at all. But if I am not on shift, I hang out with my friends, go shopping or dancing. :)

What are some of your favorite SL hang outs?
The beach, underwater (lag free), & my friends places. :)

What do you identify as on SL? Vamp, neko, fairy, hybrid, etc.
NEKO for sure! I also belong to a vamp family but I am still human. :)

Any juicy gossip, naughty tales or silly stories you'd like to share?
Mmmm, I don't like gossip & I don’t remember any particular story atm. Sorry lol. :)

If you could think of any unique outfit to have LoveCat design, what would it be?
Unique uh? "Rasta Neko" outfit for sure! With paw boots & stuff! Green, yellow & red colors! Maybe some black too! Yaaay! Looks awesome on my mind! :)

What inspired you to create this latest design?
I've really had my head in the clouds lately, faes and sprites and magical beings. I was thinking about the store lacking white outfits and the thought came to me to do a pegasus or angel... well, the angel theme has been done so many times I thought I would try something really fantastical. I think this was kind of the culmination of all my dreaming.

What was the hardest part of the outfit to design?
It seems the things I enjoy the most are those I find easiest. Since I really had fun with this outfit I didn't find anything really difficult.

What was the easiest part of the outfit to deisgn?
Once I got a feel for the 'classical' pegasus wing's look passed from the Greeks to the Middle ages and Renaissance I got really psyched about trying to recreate them realistically. I had a lot of fun with it.

Unicorn horn, pegasus wings, neko tail; creating a new type of creature?
Well... A pegasus is a winged horse and a unicorn is a horned horse. Hybrid unicorn/pegasus hybrids are pretty common in fantasy these days. Since horses have tails, I figured a full pretty tail like the ones we carry already would be purrfect.

You offer both kitty boots and a hooved version, what made you decide to make both types?
I originally made the outfit with the digi legs... I felt like it would be a lot of fun and a bit more different but realized that really dedicated neko's might prefer to be a neko dressed as a pegasus/unicorn... rather than moving toward a more 'furry' look. I felt it best to offer both options. Honestly... I don't know which I like better, I switch back and forth- I think they are both great options.

Anything else you'd like to mention about this outfit?
Just like most everything I make... I made this usable for many occasions. The outfit can be worn without the wings and horn for a really cute and sexy- strictly 'neko' look, the wings can be used in a 'fae' outfit with another white outfit. I love mixing and matching and having lots of options. So much comes with this outfit that I really do find it a "must have"

Any hints to your next amazing creation?
I've just finished up a new group gift for men and women I hope everyone loves. After this, I think I'm going to switch direction a bit... though what that means, I'm not sure yet. I go where my imagination takes me!

LoveCat Top Model - Danii Bombastic

This time I'm going to drop a bomb on you! We have a real bombshell of a top pick, that's for sure. This girl, she is truly the bomb! Ok, ok, ok...I'll stop with the bad puns. If you didn't get it by now, the top model this time is Danii Bombastic! This kitten has worked very hard as a model, so hard that she was even promoted to manager! However, because she was picked BEFORE that she made it into the picks for her hard work as a model in February. Enjoy reading folks. :)

How long have you been working for LoveCats?
I have been working at Lovecats since about July 2009

What shift do you usually work?
I model the 5-8am shift but now I have been promoted to one of the many wonderful LoveCat Managers and I work 8am-2pm

Why do you enjoy working at LoveCats?
I enjoy LoveCats because of the people I meet and work with and the amazing atmosphere that fills the shop.. I couldn't ask for a better place or better people to work with.. LoveCat is an amazing designer and I love to wear and model her gorgeous creations.

Do you have any other modeling experience?
No LoveCats was the first place that I ever modeled at and has been a great experience for me I have loved working here.

Do you have any friends/family who also work at LoveCats?
No I don't.. but over the time I have worked at LoveCats I have made many friends :)

What is the name of your favorite LC outfit and what draws you to it?
Hmm.. such a hard choice I could list soo many here, but I think my favourite is Savage Kitteh in tan.. because I love that the tail matches my blonde hair! and I love the headdress that flows so beautifully when you wear it.

What do you on SL when not at LoveCats?
I am either at home looking after my breedable kittys.. or shopping, looking for new things hehe..sometimes I'm exploring.. other times I am spending time with my friends just having fun or going on grid wide hunts.


What are some of your favorite SL hang outs?
I like to hang out at LoveCats of course theres always fun times to be had in the shop.. I also like hanging out at my home or friends homes and chatting.. I like to hang out at clubs and listen to some great music.. it really depends on who I am hanging out with but there are a lot of places I enjoy visiting.

What do you identify as on SL? Vamp, neko, fairy, hybrid, etc.
I am mainly a neko.. I have been a vampire but I am taking a little break from that.. I hardly ever take my tail and ears off unless its really necessary.. but if I could be a neko in RL I would definitely be one hehe.

If you could think of any unique outfit to have LoveCat design, what would it be?
Something blue.. maybe a beautiful blue evening gown would be great...or something cute and housewivey..LoveCat always thinks up amazing outfits its hard to think of anything different hehe I don't know how she does it.

What inspired you to create this latest design?
Why, St. Patty's day, of course. Plus I had a lot of requests for more holiday oufits similar to the XOXO and Bubbly outfit- I try to fill requests when possible!

What was the hardest part of the outfit to design?
Picking out the right shade of green lol

Before you made Patty for St. Patrick's day, what were your goals this year for the themed outfit to make it different?
Patty was 'cute' and leprechan-ish.. I wanted to do something just flat out sexy this year.

What were your ideas when creating a male version? Inspiration?
I tried to make it match the female's version but still a little 'cool' I know how much couples like to match so I try really hard to keep them similar.

So if people drink green beer for St. Paddy's day do nekos drink green milk?
I think I'll take the beer.... unless it is milk and mint baileys... then we can talk.

Anything else you'd like to mention about this outfit?
I hope everyone enjoys the holiday outfits!

Any hints to your next amazing creation?
I'm glad to have a little lull between holidays... I am still on a fantasy kick... so expect the unexpected.....

Continuing with the tradition of showcase our workers today we have an interview and photo shoot with ShadowCat Obscure. The early morning shifts are never easy so the lovely models work hard to stay late (or early) to meet and greet are truly gems. If you're an Aussie, in Europe or Asia or just a night owl then you've probably run into this lovely lady. Let's get to know her a bit better shall we?

How long have you been working for LoveCats? 

Working? Is that what this is? =^^= Really, is this not too much fun to be called work?

What shift do you usually work? 
I am in LoveCats Tuesday to Thursday 2am to 5am SLT, but I often do other shifts for the pleasure of helping out. =^^=

Why do you enjoy working at LoveCats? 
Who would not enjoy being in so kind and friendly an environment? I love being able to help people find the best clothes for their avatars, and LoveCats has such a wide and beautiful range of highly detailed outfits for men and women, it is easy to find just the right gear for that special occassion or everyday. =^^=

Do you have any other modeling experience? 
I have. ;) =^^=

Do you have any friends/family who also work at LoveCats?
I consider all the kitties and tomcats I work with at LoveCats to be friends! =^^=

What is the name of your favorite LC outfit and what draws you to it? 
That is a very difficult question to answer, since there is so much loveliness in the shop! The more recent Metro, Snuggle and Fae outfits are delicious, as are classics like Criminal, Kombat and the fabulous new Tabby skins, but the outfit I think draws (hehehe) me the most is Painter Kitty. Somehow the random splatters of paint and belt of artist tools and brushes in the tail suit my creative randomness. =^^=

What do you do on SL when not at LoveCats? 

I do a lot of different things, actually, there are so many interesting activities here. =^^= I build, and design, and go on hunts, and go to clubs and hang out with friends, and explore cool areas, and change shape and change clothes, and do a bit of RP, and help others, and, and and...

What are some of your favorite SL hang outs? 
Other than LoveCats, I do a lot of exploring of RP sims, since they are usually so beautiful. My favourite is Siden and I also enjoy, among many others,  Kowloon, Bladerunner City, Coruscant, Inspire Space Park, and of course Splintered Rock. =^^=

What do you identify as on SL? Vamp, neko, fairy, hybrid, etc.
I am but a walking shadow...I can be anything here, which is part of it's magic. Nothing limits us but our imaginations. =^^=

Any juicy gossip, naughty tales or silly stories you'd like to share?
I do not gossip, but....A story I can share is a tale of warning, hehe....I while back I was wandering around Second Life, looking very good I thought, dressed in a nice suit and pants, boots, everything, chatting with people, shopping , just your normal day.....then, after many hours of this, I met a friend, and she kindly informed me that I was completely stark nekked. =0_0=  No one had even bothered to mention it to me! In my own viewer I looked fine and elegantly dressed, in other people's viewers, I was disrobed. I learnt that day to never take anything SL shows you for granted, =^^=

If you could think of any unique outfit to have LoveCat design, what would it be? 
LoveCat Thei is so talented and creative, I do not think there is anything she has not already thought of, for example, I would never have come up with the new Mardi Gras outfits for men and women! That is just so different. =^^= The Savage Fae and Savage Kitteh outfits, so clever and beautiful and the two new gorgeous black numbers, Anastasia and Mystik. I would not say "No" if she made an outfit just for me. =^^=

Any final words for our readers? 
I have fun in Second Life, and I want everyone I meet here to also have fun. I like to bring happiness in the room with me wherever I go, and hopefully the people I encounter on my journeys will leave me with a smile. Every avatar has a real person behind the screen, living their first life, and only with kindness and tolerance can we all make the most of both lives. What inspired you to create this latest design?
I was feeling a little dark, but sensual and vampiric. I decided on something soft and romantic but sexy

How do you decide on the name?
When I wore it as it was finished, I felt like my name might be Anastasia, something alluring like from a romance novel ;)

What was the hardest part of the outfit to design?
Finding the right skirt style.

What was the easiest part of the outfit to deisgn?
The lace bodice. I knew exactly what I wanted.

The lace is rather risque and sexy, what prompted to not have a modesty option?
I tried it on with a couple of different skins and it seemed it wasn't *too* risque... a soft trace of a nipple through a womans top is something that drives men (and women) wild. I didn't think it was overt. And with a lace top, it is only  natural.

If you could suggest a hair color/style to go with this outfit, what would it be?
Myself, I would go with something black and soft, not too full, something that lets the collar stand out and doesn't lay over the front of the outfit. The back is so sexy too, so I would keep it short or an updo.

Anything else you'd like to mention about this outfit?
I like the versatility of it, you can strip off the prims and do a best in lingerie contest- or even do the contest with the prims! I love making jewelry so I think the pieces are a nice addition and can also be used with other outfits.

Any hints to your next amazing creation?
Maybe something casual. I'll need to take a breath and see what comes to me.

What inspired you to create this latest design?
I was thinking back to my goth club days and pulling inspiration from some of the things we wore then. A tutu, fairy wings and big stompy boots were club standards. It was a little nostalgia for me, and a way to bring part of my rl here to sl in a fun way for others to enjoy.

How do you decide on the name?
Well, I wanted to make it kitty friendly. "Goth-Kitty-Fairy" how do you combine those into a simple sweet name? I tried to step back and look at it overall, there was something mystical about it to me... so Mystik!

What was the hardest part of the outfit to design?
This came together very easily for me, I can't say anything was difficult.

What was the easiest part of the outfit to design?
The rose and barbed wire jewelry, I had too much fun with those.

You have many fairy-like styles, any other mythical creatures that you think would make good outfits?
I have some thoughts for some other mythical creatures, yes.... I don't want to spoil secrets yet though.

If you had one magical power or spell, what would it do?
Only one? :( Hmm... bring people love

Which one of your skins do you think would go best with Mystik?
 I think the grey kitten skin would go well with it, also the silver tabby, or white tabby.

Anything else you'd like to mention about this outfit?
I really adore this one, I think it is one I will wear frequently. I hope you like it too ;)

Today we begin the tradition and putting a spotlight on some of the hard working models that make LoveCats what it is. The men and women who greet, meet and help everyone that comes through the door. Our very first top model is Raaven Mesmeriser and as such here is an exclusive interview to get to know her a little better.

What shift do you usually work?
I'm here Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, for the 2-5pm shift.

Why do you enjoy working at LoveCats? 
I love the warm environment, it feels like you're at home with your family here.

Do you have any other modeling experience? 
Believe it or not, LoveCats is my modeling debut! My prior work experience is with hosting party events at various danceclubs!

Do you have any friends/family who also work at LoveCats? 
I'm actually a solo kitty here so far, but I'd love to invite them to join me!

What is the name of your favorite LC outfit and what draws you to it? 
Though I have many favorites, I tend to lean towards the Angel outfit. It is simple, sweet, and innocent, which makes it a refreshing change from all the color.

What do you on SL when not at LoveCats? 
I tend to either hang out with friends, or I'm at home taking care of my pets!

What are some of your favorite SL hang outs? 
I'm often at Nevermore's Speakeasy, or at Club Fluid.

What do you identify as on SL? Vamp, neko, fairy, hybrid, etc. 
I lean towards being a neko. Felines tend to be playful, yet independent, and highly loving.   They tend to suit my personality more.  Fairy can be on days when i feel like wearing somethign fun...with wings!  I'm mostly neko or human though.

Any juicy gossip, naughty tales or silly stories you'd like to share?  
Back before rezzing items was restricted to just one sandbox next to the Midnight Madness boards, we had seen people rezz items such as a a "Flying Noob" or even the "Exploding Noob!"  For the most part, people have actually been pretty courteous in the store.

If you could think of any unique outfit to have LoveCat design, what would it be? 
I'm always into something cute and fluffy, so I wouldn't mind something fun, such as a cotton candy outfit for the kitties!

Any final words for our readers? 
When on in SL, make sure you have fun, not to take anything seriously, and remember, this is just a game.  Second Life is given its name for a reason, for it's second to our normal real lives.

What inspired you to create this latest design?
I can't pass up the opportunity to make something for a fun holiday!

What was the hardest part of the outfit to design?
The skirt and fluff at the back, I really wanted that fun showgirl look more than a neko look, but I loved the idea of the neko boots with it. I couldn't resist adding the heels for those who wanted to play up the showgirl look.

What was the easiest part of the outfit to deisgn?
The mask, I had a lot of fun with it

Do you have any of your own Mardi Gras plans on SL?
I don't! I'll have to see what comes my way.

What do you enjoy most about making holiday themed outfits?
I enjoy whimsy and holidays give me free reign to let my imagination wild.
I get to let out my inner child a bit and really play and have fun with the designs.

Which holiday do you most look forward to doing an outfit for?
I think Halloween is my favorite holiday and I have done a number of outfits for it, but I am actually looking forward to making up something for Easter. I am ready for spring!

Anything else you'd like to mention about this outfit?
I was excited to release the guy's version so that the guys can match their girls for parties. I LOVE the jeans and hat for the guys and wear them myself. I've seen a number of other girls wearing the guy's set too.

Any hints to your next amazing creation?
It could be anything! who knows?
